i couldn’t decide on a picture! arash thought it was cool, it’s definitely one of my favorites. i do like that picture of me wearing a space faces shirt, even though everyone thinks i look weird and awkward in it.

san francisco is a crazy city. seriously, the people here are much crazier or tense or something. it’s very city like and cold. it’s a lot like boston in a bizarro way. l.a. and new york seem to be the other ends of the analogy.

maybe i just don’t know enough about san francisco yet. right now i’m staying in a nice sublet. it’s actually a really nice house, although i wish i had cable. i watched animal planet a couple of times when i was staying at a hotel. animal planet is a really fun station to watch. i never realized it before.

i work a lot. i like it. i am nearly nearly done with the dropbox linux client. just a few small things to patch up. have you seen the screenshot? http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/5143/dropbox-ubuntu.png lol i’m really excited that i’m writing software lots of people are going to be using everyday. definitely a first for me. btw, do you want a dropbox invite? we could share a folder!!

starting a new life is really hard. i never had the problem of knowing how to fill my life. so hard to figure out what to fill it with. i end up working the day away. any grownups read this blog? how did you figure out how to balance your life? anyone know? big open problem.

i’m backing up this site and all my others from now on. forgot about how important that is. love you!

probably not ready to blog yet

so i did it! here i am!

i probably have written something like this before (and i probably have written something like that before) but i have no idea where to start, so many things have happened and my life has probably made an entire 180.

so i left boston and started working in san francisco on may 21st. i was here for a couple of weeks, working on the dropbox linux client and then i went back for graduation. it was great. it was nice to go back to mit knowing that i don’t belong there anymore, like have no business there anymore. it was nice to see the people and nice to see kate again. it was also really nice to graduate!!! i have lots of video of it. lol i have lots of video in general. i will be posting that soon after i get more server stuff setup. you probably have noticed i have different hosting now!!

yeah! my server got COMPLETELY fucked up. i’ll make the story short and tell you that i didn’t have it connected to a surge protector, HARDWARE DAMAGE. it really sucked. i lost a lot of Survey Master data (all the survey metadata, only have the actual survey questions but i don’t know who they belong to lol). i have the majority of the responses but not all. i was able to save my blog though, what luck!
